THE PARKVIEW SOCIETY

Summary Mission and Aims

The Parkview Society, a voluntary organisation, is a provider of high quality residential care and supported living in the community.

The Parkview Society, through a caring, motivated and appropriately trained staff team, tailors its services to suit the needs of individuals with mental health issues, learning difficulties and the homeless.

The Parkview Society respects individual rights to privacy, autonomy and independence, seeking to develop and maximize potential in a safe, secure and homely environment.

Provide high quality, 24 hour residential care and supported living to people with varying special needs, for them to live as independent a life as possible with, where appropriate, gradual rehabilitation into the community by encouraging independence and a sense of personal responsibility within a communal setting

Allow clients their rights to privacy, autonomy, independence, dignity and fulfillment to function at a level, which gives them a satisfactory quality of life

Maintain effective communication networks with special needs support services, so that consistent care approaches are used at all times

Respect the clients needs at all times and to be available for them whenever possible

This support will be provided by caring, motivated and appropriately trained staff with named support workers using care plans to work towards agreed goals.

Quality Standards

The following fundamental values are essential for all staff to recognize and support to form a measure against which the quality of care provided will be compared.

These fundamental values to which the Parkview Society are committed relate to quality, worth of individuals, equality and service.

 Quality

Our aim is to provide a high level of quality. All staff should maintain the highest standards and be proud of the work they carry out. This means attempting to aim for excellence in the service we provide for residents, customers and colleagues.

Worth of Individuals

The Parkview Society values all its workforce and recognizes that a high quality service will only be achieved by a caring, motivated and appropriately trained workforce who are given all the necessary support and direction to achieve this aim

Equality

We aim to promote equality of opportunity for everyone by promoting practices and policies, which are non-discriminatory. All staff have a role to play in ensuring impartiality both towards their colleagues and the people for whom we provide a service

Service

This means putting people first and working to meet their needs by finding out their views and providing the services they require.

Monitoring

Monitoring the Service is essential to ensure high quality standards for clients.
